Cinco's Cantina Selects Gather

Cinco’s Cantina is proud to announce that Gather, a Seacoast-based nonprofit dedicated to ending hunger, has been selected as the featured organization for the restaurant’s month-long fundraising campaign this October.

Throughout the month, Cinco’s Cantina will host a variety of special promotions to benefit Gather and support its mission to prevent food insecurity in the Seacoast. These events and promotions include:

• Signature entrée and cocktail/mocktail, with a portion of proceeds donated back to the nonprofit.

• Fiesta Fundraiser Night on Monday, October 21st, with 20 percent of sales supporting Gather.

• Festive costume contest on October 31 for guests to join in the fun.

• Give Back Gift Card Promotion, where each card purchased helps fuel the nonprofit’s efforts.

Cinco’s Cantina invited the public to provide input on which nonprofit should be featured this October, collecting nominations from community members. Gather was chosen for its strong presence and vital programs in the Seacoast community, but also because of a personal connection by Cinco’s owners, Crescencio and Miguel Tellez, who were born and raised in Northern Mexico and experienced food insecurity themselves.

“This cause is close to our hearts and is our way of giving back,” said Miguel Tellez, co-owner of Cinco’s Cantina. “We know what it feels like to go without–we admire the impact Gather is making every day for families in our community.”

Gather has been serving the Seacoast for over 200 years, evolving from a food pantry to a leader in hunger prevention through innovative programs like its Mobile Market, Meals 4 Kids, and nutrition-focused initiatives.

Cinco’s Cantina invites the community to dine, celebrate, and give back throughout October while supporting Gather’s critical mission of feeding children, senior citizens, and entire families.
