The Stand-Up Comedy Workshop at Exeter Adult Eduction

Ever been told you were funny or a natural comedian? Ever wish you could feel more confident telling stories or talking in front of people? Stand-up comedy is a skill that anyone can learn and fine tune. In this workshop, participants will learn: what makes something funny; to discover your own comic style; how to write a joke; how to put together a themed 3-minute comedy set; and poise and physicality while performing. Weekly writing exercises and practice, combined with constructive feedback, will prepare you for a final showcase where you will perform your very own 3 minute comedy set!
