Mother’s Day Concert: The Beauty of Strings

This concert will feature chamber music for strings- two violins, two violas, and cello. The concert will open with the Impressionistic beauty of French composer Maurice Ravel’s famous string quartet. Following will be a programmatic piece written especially for the Cuatro Puntos Resident Musicians- Coming Home, a musical exploration of a New England cityscape by local composer David Macbride. Following will be the Phantasy Quintet by the English composer Vaughan Williams, and the concert will close with a set of Kurdish Love Songs by Cuatro Puntos’ own musician, Kevin Bishop.
