BRACE 2020: Presidential Town Hall

EXETER, NH - The Magenta Suite, 121R Water St., will serve as the site for Democratic Presidential candidate Patricia Brace’s first town hall on Saturday, May 25 at 5 p.m. During the televised town hall event, Brace will answer questions from the audience, outline her administration’s goals, respond to concerns voters have and hear what they’re looking from in their next president. After the town hall, Brace invites all audience members to stay for a riverside Memorial Day Weekend BBQ and the opportunity to talk with the candidate. Installed in the gallery will be screenings of past announcement speeches, commercials and stories of what’s important to Americans in this election. In addition, gallery patrons can buy presidential swag, sign the petition to have the candidate on the New Hampshire Democratic Presidential ticket and learn about volunteer opportunities. With such a crowded presidential field, the Brace campaign feels it imperative for voters to learn as much as they can about the people running for office. This town hall, in one of the first primary states, provides voters with a unique opportunity to meet the candidate, ask her questions and learn more about what a Brace Administration would look like. Patricia Brace, a Maine native, is running for president in 2020 because she wants to “build a future that is healthy, safe and sustainable for all Americans.” Raised in Cherryfield on a working sheep farm, Brace has since worked as a visual art professor at Rutgers University and the University of Maine and has a successful national and international art career. Since 2016 Brace’s work has become more political and advocatory in nature, which leads to Brace running for president in 2020. Viewing the role of artists as future predictors, Brace hopes to integrate her training in the visual arts field into that of policy, advocacy and law.
